Firestone

Firestone

First founded in 1900, the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company has been a subsidiary of Bridgestone since 1974. Both companies compliment each other in their ability to address the needs of both consumers and the tire industry at large. Firestone’s innovation with rubber has even led it into other industries, including construction and textiles.

Run-Flat Certified Run-Flat Certified

  • Because of the advanced technology and design of RFT tires and the required tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), Bridgestone Firestone Run-Flat Certified Retailers, such as The Tire Choice & Total Care Care, are specially trained to sell and service RFT tires.

The Run-Flat Certified Retailers have the necessary equipment and are specially trained to properly mount and demount RFT tires and to handle TPMS devices. Conventional mounting equipment may irreparably damage RFT tires and an improper repair is unsafe and will void the Limited Warranty. Accordingly, it is important to go to a Bridgestone Firestone Run-Flat Certified Retailer for tire maintenance and replacement.  Run-Flat Certied Retailers will fully inspect your tire, inside and out, to determine if the tire can be repaired. Tire damage is not always visible from the outside and the tire must be removed from the wheel for a complete inspection.

Firestone Warranty

Purchasing a Firestone tire makes you eligible for the Platinum Pact – a limited warranty that covers all Firestone and Bridgestone passenger and light truck tires (excluding winter and spare tires). Under the Platinum Pact, you can replace your tire with a new one free of charge or for a pro-rated amount if the tire becomes unusable for any reason within the manufacturer’s control under the following conditions:

  • The free tire replacement period extends up to (a) 3 years from the date of purchase
  • After the free tire replacement period, coverage extends up to (a) 5 years from the date of purchase
  • The tire must not be worn to 2/32 inch (1.6 mm) or less remaining original tread depth (i.e. worn down to the tire wear indicators).

Firestone Tire Technology

Through its long history with several different industries, Firestone has patented many tire technologies that address important elements including, wet performance and dry performance, fuel efficiency, wear life, ride comfort, noise reduction and more.

  • Destination A/TTire – for a light truck/SUV tire with high performance marks across the board, check out the Destination. Thanks to Firestone’s UNI-T technology, the Destination has a smooth and solid ride on nearly any terrain.

  • Firehawk G/T – Racers are familiar with the performance levels of the Firehawk model. On top of its great cornering and traction abilities, it also uses Veri-Pitch technology, which minimizes pattern and road noises often found in other performance tires.

  • Affinity touring tire– The Affinity has premium features without a premium price. All-in-all, it’s a tire that delivers a solid performance with a long life, thanks to L.L. Carbon technology. By using a long length carbon structure, L.L. Carbon allows tires to better resist cracking, chipping and tearing.
